‘Urban talks’ of February will be held on:

Theme will be: “Urban designing Toronto; Current Initiations”
Speaker: Archt. Urban designer James Parak, Manager Urban design, City of Toronto.
Toronto, the capital of the province of Ontario, is a major Canadian city along Lake Ontario’s northwestern shore. It’s a dynamic metropolis with a core of soaring skyscrapers. Toronto also has many green spaces, from the orderly oval of Queen’s Park to 400-acre High Park and its trails, sports facilities and zoo.
Yet, Toronto has to face with challenges on:Restructuring city governance, Tackling transit, Solving shelter and handling the affordable housing crisis, Social inclusiveness, Public Infrastructure renewal and facing with environmental challenges.
This session will look at how urban design engages in the context of such issues in city’s future developments.
